As if you needed another reason to visit.

While famed for its luxury accommodation options and outstanding natural landscape, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley seems as though it may soon also earn a reputation as a foodie hotspot. The New South Wales regional resort has just announced that it will be launching a food festival of its own this winter, encompassing a series of on-going culinary events with some of the country’s most talented creators.

The events have been curated by executive chef Nancy Kinchela, and in-keep with the resort’s passion for its surrounds. The produce and producers involve are focused on the seasonal, the regional and the organic where possible, involving local boutique farms, private growers and vintners.

The Winter Culinary Festival will launch in June in style, led with a weekend with the boys from Bentley Boys. In the weeks to follow will be a barbecue with much celebrated butcher Victor Churchill’s Anthony Puharich. In July, Matt Stafford, chief winemaker of New Zealand’s award- winning Craggy Range winery, will host a bespoke wine and cheese tasting and indulgent dinner. And then in August, wine lovers will be able to dabble in dinners with winemakers Domaine Thomson and Yarra Yering. As an added bonus for foodies on holiday, guests at the resort will be able to experience a luxury picnic with Krug Escape.

“We’ve partnered with leading culinary tastemakers to deliver a series of events that celebrate the local area and reflect our dedication to providing unforgettable and curated experiences for our guests to enjoy,” explains general manager James Wyndham of the food focus. “Whether it is a winemaker dinner, the ultimate picnic in the wilderness, or a private dining experience set against the beautiful backdrop of Wolgan Valley, our passion is to provide our guests with the ultimate gourmet getaway.”

All events that form a part of the Winter Culinary Festival are complimentary to guests on a two-night stay but advanced bookings (for resort guests or visitors) are essential and can be made online.
