Great news for bean-addicted Sydneysiders.
One of Melbourne’s most beloved coffee spots is making its way to the harbour city, with the first Sydney outlet for Industry Beans confirmed. This is the first interstate foray for the Fitzroy institution, which will take up residence in Sydney CBD this coming March.
York Street will be the chosen new home of Industry Beans, which will be setting up shop in a heritage-listed building and has already promised to trade seven days a week. Fans of the original cafe will be able to expect the same dedication to brews at the new venue, including the Fitzroy Iced (a cold brew, wattleseed and panela sugar concoction) and the Insta-friendly cold brew bubble cup (a bubble tea-inspired array of coffee-soaked tapioca pearls, cold brew and normal or vegan condensed milk).
The menu for the Sydney space is yet to be revealed, but we expect to see the same elaborate breakfasts for which Industry Beans is famed. Not sure quite what we’re talking about? Think fruit sashimi, a coffee-rubbed wagyu burger, and a turmeric and beetroot bagel among others.
