Messina’s has just launched its annual Christmas Coma trifle, and this year’s over-the-top creation is guaranteed to knock you out until 2023.

Last year, the ice cream dream team put together a chocolate hazelnut extravaganza, this year they’ve decided to go with a sticky date and toffee theme.

The festive dessert is made from layers of caramel cremeux with sticky date and toffee pudding, crème fraîche chantilly and chocolate-coated biscuit crumble, and for the grand finale – a hand-made white chocolate and coffee chocolate wreath.

But don’t pass out just yet, there’s more. Along with the trifle, you’ll also receive a litre of Messina brandy custard and assorted panned nuts and chocolates to snack on. That’s it. We’re done. Please… no more.

Each trifle feeds 20-30 people and is priced at $250 each.
