The gelato giant finally opens its doors in the Sunshine State capital.
Brisbane ice cream fans can breathe a sigh of relief with the first of the city’s Messina stores set to open its doors tomorrow.
It may have been a long time coming (considering the plethora of Messina stores down south), but it seems that the gelato giant’s new outpost will be worth the wait. The sleek new hub was designed by Messina founder Nick Palumbo and Vie Studio, with Messina claiming this new space has “the potential to be our flagship store, this beauty is one of our designer’s proudest moments.”
The store resides in The Melbourne Residences brand new retail space in South Brisbane, bordering West End. Amidst all of the polished concrete floors and 70s mahogany panels sits 35 regular flavours, as well as 5 specials. It will also be home to a secret classroom out the back which will host a Creative Department and Gelato Classes in store.
Gelato Messina Brisbane opens its doors at 5pm tomorrow. In an ode to its new store the brand has created the ‘Queenslandaarrr!!!’ flavour – a decidedly Sunshine State concoction of ginger gelato featuring pineapple cake and Bundaberg Rum caramel. The limited-edition gelato will be available in all Messina stores around the country from Tuesday, March 28 for one week.
