The Japanese restaurant empire has spawned a two-day foodie event.
There’s no point denying it – Nobu is an empire fast taking over the food industry. The upmarket Japanese restaurant chain launched by Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa now stretches around the world, with 30 restaurants across five different continents.
Having achieved unprecedented success in the fine dining field, Nobuyuki has now set his sights on the foodie event with the launch of a two-day Nobu festival in Melbourne called The World of Nobu Master Class. Nobu himself will be there, accompanied by executive chefs from his restaurants from Beijing to London, to share the secrets behind some of his most famous dishes.
From midday on March 15 and 16, The World of Nobu Master Class will be held at the Culinarium at the Crown Melbourne. Two of his executive chefs Mark Edwards (from Nobu London) and Sean Tan (from Nobu Melbourne) will take part, alongside a sommelier to assist in the pairing of saké throughout the meal. For those less cooking inclined, Nobuyuki is also hosting a cocktail party that will feature some of the signature canapés from his restaurants the world over. Tickets for the The World of Nobu Master Class are currently available online.
