Clear your Sunday schedule, you now have plans.
The delicious. Produce Awards have spent the past 13 years shining a spotlight on the country’s best edible creations. And now Sydneysiders will have their chance to enjoy a nibble of the award-winning produce for themselves thanks to a new lunch series emerging at The Dolphin.
Once a month, the Surry Hills establishment will be hosting a long Sunday lunch, with a menu crafted from previous entrants of the delicious. Produce Awards. Held in collaboration with delicious., the lunch menu has been created by The Dolphin’s executive chef Monty Koludrovic and head chef Daniel Medcalf.
The second lunch in the Producers Series will launch on April 8 from 12 pm with a five-course feast of dishes like spicy pork ragu and potato gnocchi with sprouting garlic and sage, as well as a trout roe with potato skins, seaweed, cucumber and lemon cream. For the sweet tooth, there’s also a dessert – a yoghurt semifreddo, milk crumb, pineapple granita and kaffir lime.
Ingredients have been sourced from award-winning producers far and wide for April, including Yarra Valley Caviar, Taluca Park Free Range, and Latta Vino. There is also a chance for locals unable to make the Sunday event to get in on the action at a later date, with the special producer lunch menu available throughout the remainder of April alongside The Dolphin’s existing dishes.
More information on each of the producers involved can be found on The Dolphin’s website, where bookings can be made directly.
