It’s no secret that Icebergs Dining Room and Bar has hosted some legendary parties over the years and the tradition looks set to continue with a very special event taking over the Bondi icon later this month.

On Sunday, April 30, for the official launch of American Express delicious. Month Out, Icebergs will transform into a ’70s Italian discoteca inspired by the Riviera clubs and bars that paved the way for Studio 54.

Italo Discoteca will be the place to see and be seen, with a glamorous guestlist that includes top chefs, food personalities and VIPs, with tickets available to the public as well.

The venue will be transformed to look and feel like a Bondi version of the famed Italian club, Baia Degli Angeli, which the venue already resembles with its impressive white exteriors, swimming pool and cliffside setting.

To create the right vibes, there will be live entertainment on the night, with a DJ spinning disco tracks plus glowing lights and stunning lit-up areas.

Icebergs Dining Room and Bar head chef Alex Prichard is getting his moves ready for the big night (in the kitchen, that is).

The event will be a stand-up affair with roving canapes that you can eat with one hand. Diners can expect a generous selection from maccheroni cacio e pepe to bluefin tuna tartare with seaweed crackers and mini Icebergers.

“Everything fits the brief our owner Maurice has for the restaurant – flavours his mother would recognise, but food she’d never cook,” Prichard says.

The ticket price also includes free-flowing drinks for the duration of the event, with vinos like Minuty M rosé from Provence on the pour.
