After a brief hiatus the star chef is back with a dinner series.
Perhaps best known for his role at the lauded GOMA Restaurant in Brisbane’s South Bank, Josh Lopez has carved quite the career for himself in the Sunshine State. The chef most recently departed the esteemed gallery’s kitchen a year ago, set to make waves with a new role at Emporium Brisbane. But the collaboration was not meant to be, and Gomez has since turned his attention to a new River City project.
Lopez has just announced a series of pop-up dinners at West Village’s Bromley Room #2, the new event space erected in the former iconic Peters Ice Cream Factory building in West End. The special event will take place just four times; on the nights of November 16 and 17, and again in December on the fifth and the sixth. Beginning at 6.30pm, each dinner will see Lopez prepare a seven-course feast paired with wine with ice-cream heavily interwoven in ode to its digs.
As for what exactly you’ll be tucking in to, you can expect a couple of unusual dishes to be thrown into the mix. Sweet and savoury ice cream dishes will be integrated, from a scallop and avocado ice cream taco to a rainforest sundae paired with Daintree vanilla.
Tickets to Lopez’s new dinner venture can be purchased now online. There will only be 30 seats at each so we suggest you get in quick to avoid missing out.
