Nutella better watch its back. A new choc-hazelnut spread is in town and it looks like it might be a real competitor this time (sorry Nutino).
Reading between the lines, it appears as if some genius from Lindt HQ has decided to bottle the gooey centre of the Lindt balls, and if true, that person deserves a raise.
The new Lindt range will be made up of two spreads, a Lindt 25% Hazelnut Spread and a Lindt Cocoa Spread, which will be priced at $10 per 200g jar.
Thomas Schnetzler, Lindt Master Chocolatier, said: “We’re so excited to bring our new Lindt spreads to Australia. Now everyone can enjoy our delicious chocolate in a spreadable form as a perfect treat. Our Lindt Hazelnut Spread is made with 25% roasted hazelnuts which is more generous than many other spreads. This generosity adds to the incredible flavour when the hazelnuts are combined with the cocoa creating the perfect blend.”
The Lindt 25% Hazelnut Spread will be available from selected supermarkets this March 2020 and all major retailers from May 2020. The Lindt Cocoa Spread will be available from May 2020.
