Major changes are coming to Sydney’s Cornersmith

Dinner is just the beginning...

There was little that could be done to improve on Cornersmith’s current offering but the Marrickville favourite recently underwent a revamp, debuting its new and improved self only last week. But fans of the inner-west fermenting haven need not panic for the eatery’s beloved breakfasts will remain (with ethically sourced produce to boot), the key difference is that Cornersmith will now open for extended hours, offering dinner and drinks.

Cornersmith will now be open morning, noon and night to curb your cravings. Just like their food menu, the drinks list will reflect the venue’s love of preserving and fermenting. Think a Cherry Kombucha Spritz, or another Australian-only spirit accompanied with house-made syrups, fermented sodas, bitters and brines.

Open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch, Cornersmith will also open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday. Ava Stangherlin (of Masterchef fame) is at the helm of the kitchen, a foodie talent who honed her skills with Justin North at Hotel Centennial. She has worked alongside fermenter at large Jaimee Edwards and sommelier Marc Dempsey to curate a menu that celebrates seasonal ingredients and local suppliers where possible.

While walk-ins are welcome, bookings are recommended.
