Burger fans, Mary's is moving down to Melbourne

Mary's

For a limited time only.

Attention burger fans, the beloved Mary’s burger will shortly be made available to Melbourne residents thanks to the Newtown crew making their way down south. Unfortunately, this won’t be a permanent move, but instead, it’s part of a pop-up which will see Mary’s Newtown take over Leonard’s House of Love.
November 18 will see Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham make the move to Melbourne town, taking over the South Yarra bar’s menu with an array of bespoke Mary’s cocktails (poured by Mary’s bartenders) and the iconic Mary’s burger. The interiors of the bar are also set to be held hostage by the visiting Sydneysiders. You’ll find the walls of Leonard’s plastered with posters and images of Mary’s events; a physical walk down memory lane.
“We’re coming to throw a party in Melbourne!,” says Mary’s co-owner Kenny Graham of the evening’s planned festivities.

“We invited our mate Nick Stanton up to Sydney little while back to cook some food with us at Mary’s and The Unicorn and we enjoyed the vibe so much we thought we would invite ourselves to his house and help tear it up for a night! Expect delicious food, whiskey, big music with big-time DJs, whiskey, lots of laughter, whiskey, more food and whiskey. I almost forgot to mention whiskey! BYO sharpies.”Leonard’s co-owner Nick Stanton is equally excited about the party.

“We’re massive fans of what the Mary’s boys do and are pumped to have them at Leonard’s for one wild day. We’re good mates with this lot, we have similar views and are into the same sh*t. I’ve always admired what they do. They run one of the best operating kitchens, and produce a straight to the point, sick menu,” he said.
