#impressive
Love it or loathe it, Instagram has a serious stronghold over hospitality and we just love to snap our favourite food and the cute new venues on our hit-list. And when we say “we” it’s not just a smattering here and there – Instagram currently has two billion monthly users, and it’s a safe bet that most of them follow at least one foodie account.
So if your venue is hitting the top 10 most ‘grammable restaurants in the world, you’re kicking absolute goals. And if you’re the most ‘grammed venue on the planet – we bow down.
That’s precisely what one Sydney restaurant has managed though, taking the crown at the most Instagrammed venue on earth. An analysis by online gambling group Betway has revealed that the Grounds of Alexandria is the most Instagrammed venue in the world.

The analysis reviewed the number of Instagram hashtags from the world’s 100 most popular restaurants, plus the 100 most popular in the US. And The Grounds came out on top, with users making a staggering 120,000 Instagram posts from the Sydney icon. Funnily enough, 120,000 is approximately the same number of people you’ll find queuing up for their latte every Sunday.
To show just how impressive this feat is, it pays to check out the other contenders. Read ’em and weep.

The Alexandria cafe has become notorious for their spectacular themed installations, often transforming from a swanky coffee spot into full on winter wonderlands, kitschy cute cantinas, candylands, and dazzling Disney castles. Yep, that’s going on the grid.
The second most Instagrammed venue in the world is the striking Sketch in London, a Victorian parlour-turned-restaurant bar that is all about art, colour and cocktails. Take a peep at their Instagram and you’ll see why people can’t stop posting.
