Noosa Food & Wine has confirmed its return for May.
Noosa isn’t just home to Little Cove, Hastings Street, and that rather iconic beachside boardwalk. But the Sunshine Coast resort town is also annually host to one of the nation’s most beloved in food-favouring events.
Thankfully for the self-proclaimed gluttons among us, Noosa Food & Wine Festival will be back for 2019 as it was confirmed today. Taking Noosa and the surrounding area hostage, the event will run from May 16-20 next year.
The four day event sees a burgeoning number of foodie forays take place, with the festival’s more popular events already open to ballot registration; including the 2019 Long Lunch and Noir Noosa. The ballot was enacted in recent years as a fair way to allocate tickets for event which often sell out immediately.
The Long Lunch will again take place on Hastings Street. For $175 per person, guests will enjoy a three-course feast with matching wines from Cape Mentelle. Fare will be created by one of many iconic Hastings Street eateries; Aroma’s, Bistro C, Boardwalk Bistro on Hastings, Café Le Monde, Locale Noosa, Noosa Beach House Peter Kuruvita, Rococo Noosa and Season Restaurant are all involved.
But no doubt night owls will gravitate more toward’s famed evening soiree Noir Noosa. For $295 per person, the black tie event treats guests to a theatrical celebration of sorts. This year will no doubt be an event to remember as it coincides with Moët & Chandon Impérial’s 150th Anniversary.
The full Noosa Food & Wine Festival program for 2019 will be released in due course. You can follow the website for details and if you wish to enter the ballot for either event, you can do so now online.
