Seafood-themed Sunday sessions arrive in Bondi

Just what you'd expect from the iconic beach hub.

Sunday sessions are somewhat of a non-negotiable come the arrival of the Australian summer. What better way to spend a humid afternoon (after a day at the beach) than with a few icy cold beverages with friends before the working week commences.

But the typical Sunday session has evolved, in Bondi at least. Beachside institution North Bondi Fish insists that the best way to celebrate on Sunday is of course with a drink or two, but with the addition of a bevy of seafood. The restaurant’s coastal themed Sunday sessions have been dubbed Sashimi & Disco and will launch weekly for the month of October.

Every Sunday will see North Bondi Fish head chef Jesse McTavish take to the floor slicing fresh sashimi to order. Guests will be able to nibble on the likes of Ora King Salmon, Spencer Gulf Hiramasa Kingfish and Yellowfin Tuna, while they sip on specialty margaritas created for the occasion. A handful of Sydney DJs will spin disco and house all the while, playing until the sun sets on the accompanying balcony. October’s current line-up includes DJs Rachel May, Aaron Bannie, and Bambi.

Sashimi & Disco will be held every Sunday in October, from 12.30-6.30pm. Bookings are available online.
