Not content with drinking beer in the nude by yourself?  Share your secret shame with likeminded individuals at this one-off nudie drinks event, held at Stitch Bar in Sydney.

The Sunday session invites nudists to swing by for a slurp or nibble, with Sitch Bar putting on a spread of American-inspired food and drink, from jalapenos poppers to hot wings and chipotle tacos – just please, eat carefully.

Called Bottoms Up Sydney, the event was created by The Young Nudists of Australia, an online community that hosts regular nudist events, from naked laser tag to nudie roller-skating, bare ten-pin bowling and more.

For the sake of practicality, patrons are advised to keep their shoes on and bring a towel to sit on. While you may feel a bit silly wearing a handbag, coming without one won’t score you any free drinks.

The strictly non-sexual event asks guests not to stare at other patrons (looking is fine) and basically not do anything you wouldn’t do with your gear on.

Karl Schlothauer from House of Pocket – the parent company behind Stitch Bar – said that if the event was a success, he would consider rolling it out across their other venues, which include Button Bar and Pocket Bar.

Bottoms Up Sydney will be held between 3-8pm on Sunday, October 27 at Stitch Bar on York Street in the Sydney CBD. Tickets are priced at $30 and include a craft beer, house wine or soft drink to help you unwind. Head to eventbrite for more details or to purchase tickets.
