It’s yet another Sydney favourite to close up shop this winter.
Adding to the recent list of high-profile restaurants closures, Potts Point’s Paper Bird has announced it will shut its doors for one final time on August 3.
The inner-city favourite joins an assortment of Sydney stalwarts closures including ACME, Billy Kwong, The Bridge Room and Oscillate Wildly in recent weeks.
Chef and co-owner Ben Sears has cited the change in Syndey’s dining scene as one of the reasons behind the decision to close the restaurant.
Paper Bird, which is currently ranked 74 on the delicious. 100, is well known for its Japanese and Korean-focused menu, with standout plates beyond its chicken fishes including the prawn toast and cabbage sandwich and its list of specialty sakés.
Since its inception in 2017, the restaurant has developed a following for its inventive menu and more recently for their brunch offering.
Paper Bird will close August 3.
