The world’s first sushi train for cheese has opened and we think it’s a grate idea

Pick & Cheese is a new conveyor belt cheese restaurant.

It’s hard to convey our excitement.

Your cheese dreams have come true. A new specialty restaurant in London’s Convent Garden is serving up slabs of cheese by way of rotating conveyor belt.

All of the cheeses are made in the UK, with each wedge carefully paired to an accompanying condiment.

There’s hard (and soft) decisions to be made, with over 25 cheeses to choose from, including Stilton with a dark chocolate cookie, Red Leicester with candied chilli peppers, Cornish Gouda with hazelnut praline and Baron Bigod, a creamy, bloomy brie served with mushroom duxelles.

Choose from over 25 cheeses.

Either hunt down your favourite fromage or choose one at random for a game of Russian raclette.

Similar to a sushi train, plates are colour coded by price, ranging from £2.95 ($5) for clothbound cheddar to £6.10 ($11) for a plate of brasaola.

The venue also serves small producer wines, which are available as a tasting glass (75ml) so you can pair with each cheese separately. They can also be ordered by the glass (125ml) or carafe (250ml).

So far, all 38-seats have been on constant rotation since the venue first opened, however, the restaurant also offers booth seating and an a la carte menu.
