You read that right.
Matt Moran and Chiswick Woollahra head chef Tom Haynes are set to deliver boxes of free veggies from the restaurant’s retro 1960s Veggie Van right to your door.
Chiswick Woollahra is renowned for its beautiful and productive 150-square-metre vegetable garden and Moran wanted to celebrate the arrival of spring by bringing fruit, vegetables and herbs from the grounds of the restaurant to lucky members of the public.
“Spring is such a beautiful time at Chiswick,” says Moran. “The garden is so vibrant and full of stunning produce like asparagus and globe artichokes. We are really excited to be able to bring a selection of our favourite spring produce items to our customer’s door, so they can create their own dishes.”
The complimentary veggie boxes will be delivered all over Sydney on Fridays in November (10, 17, 24) and the first box will include produce such as eggplants, blood oranges, radishes, kale, heirloom tomatoes and golden nugget pumpkin. And if you’re not sure what to cook up, Moran and Haynes are also going to include guides on making the most of the ingredients in the box.
So now you really have no excuse not to cook like Matt Moran.
Free Chiswick veggie boxes are limited, so get in fast and register via chiswickrestaurant.com.au/veggievan.
Chosen recipients will be provided with details on when they can expect a delivery from the Chiswick Veggie Van.
