Why you should be taking your ex to dinner this Valentine's Day

QT Perth

Cupid's got your back this February 14th.

Not quite loved up right now? Then perhaps, like many, you baulk at the mention of a certain Valentine’s Day. But those who ended things on good terms with their ex may have a chance to celebrate after all, thanks to the QT Hotels & Resorts Group.

The burgeoning design hotel group believes that singles shouldn’t have to miss out on all the fun on the annual celebration of love. So in the name of Cupid, they are hosting a special singles mixer on Valentine’s Day. The catch? You have to bring your ex.

“It may not have worked out for the both of you, so why not move on together?” the company explains in a statement of its upcoming QT Cupid event. “In Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Canberra and the Gold Coast, singles are invited to a night of romantic recycling – because one heart’s trash is another heart’s treasure. Bring your ex with you for a night of mingling and potential new romances.”

On February 14, in QT Hotels across the country, the singles mixer will take place from 6.00pm in each venue’s main bar. If you’re not quite on speaking terms with your former partner, no matter. “Bring along a BFF, your ‘handbag’ or that good old faithful plus one for a night of fun and frivolity,” says the QT.

Happy couples will also be catered to of course. The design hotels group has a handful of couple-friendly offers for the occasion, including spaQ treatments, special Valentine’s Day dinners, and a sleepover heavy on the romance that’s been cleverly titled Eat, Stay, Love.
