Sink your teeth into five of the country's best cuts.
If your idea of a degustation is steak followed by steak, steak, and more steak, then we’ve found the dinner event for you.
Starting this month, Rockpool Bar and Grill Sydney has launched a monthly steak tasting dinner, which will take diners through a multi-course menu made up exclusively of beef.
And we’re not talking about any old Angus either. Neil Perry will be offering up some of the country’s best cuts, many of which are not available through the traditional channels. Think Coppertree Farms dry-aged 60-month-old Fresian rib eye on the bone and David Blackmore’s dry-aged Wagyu sirloin and Mishima oyster blade, among other memorable mouthfuls.
The menu will be made up of five cuts, both grass and grain-fed, which will be accompanied by a meaty masterclass with head chef Corey Costelloe on the taste, texture and provenance of the beef.
The steak dinners are set to run on the last Tuesday of every month with tickets priced at $180 per person, which includes paired beverages. For more details or to book, head to rockpoolbarandgrill.com.au.
