Renowned restaurant Vue de monde is heading to the racetrack.

At an exclusive tasting event held yesterday, Caulfield Cup sponsor Stella Artois has announced that they will team up with Shannon Bennett to bring renowned Melbourne restaurant, Vue de monde, to the racetrack this spring.

While the menu is yet to be finalised, punters can expect a selection of dishes specially curated by Shannon, which showcase the best in Australian produce and reflect the spectrum of flavours found in Stella Artois beer.

The menu looks likely to include easy-to-eat canapes, such as caviar and sea urchin tart, black truffle doughnuts and crab hot dogs, which are expected to be big winners on the day. For a more leisurely experience, the menu will also include larger sharing plate, including David Blackmore wagyu with potato truffle terrine and marron seafood bisque.

As for desserts, Shannon will create a dessert station stocked with miniature gateaux, with options like passionfruit and kaffir lime tart and chocolate mousse with raspberries.

Shannon Bennett said: “It’s great to be working with Stella Artois again and this time at the race track, a new and exciting challenge for us. The Spring Racing Season is such an incredible time to be in Melbourne and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with a brand that boasts such a rich history.

“The partnership between Stella Artois and Vue de monde enhances the brand’s strong links to premium dining and will deliver an unprecedented racing experience for guests – ensuring their day is effortless but of the highest quality.”

Alongside the Vue de monde pop-up, Shannon will also curate a New York-style menu for the general admission marquee.
