Be still, our Millennial hearts.

It’s been more than five long years since one of Australia’s most iconic restaurants closed its doors. The buffet chain and treasured family-restaurant of the 90s called time on its service back in November 2020 after a long 30-year legacy serving up its legendary cheesy toast, grilled steaks and all-you-eat-salad bars. While Sizzler’s return has been teased through one-night-only pop-ups and rumours, we’re here to tell all you Millennials that this time it’s for real.

The beloved 90s chain is officially returning to Australia. Minor Hotels is set to bring Sizzler back at its new NH Collection Hotel at Sydney Airport later this year. It’s also rumoured that there are plans to not just bring Sizzler back to one location, but to open restaurants at various hotels within the NH Collection.

While details are scarce about when exactly the newest Sizzler will open and what will be on the menu, in the meantime you can find us dreaming about cheesy toast and going ham at the dessert bar.

We’ll keep you posted as we know more.
