With cake queen Anna Polyviou at the helm.
Australians seem to have a particularly soft spot for sugar. This is especially true of Sydney, home to a series of dessert-themed festivals throughout the year, the biggest of which will shortly make a return. On June 29, Anna Polyvioyu’s Sweet Street will be again welcomed to the Shangri-La Hotel for the fifth time.
It’s an evening soiree of the sweet stuff (quite literally) where some of the city’s most beloved sweet purveyors will showcase their edible wares. 2018’s event will see pastry chef Polyviou joined by Adriano Zumbo, Blackstar Pastry, MakMak Macarons, Butter, Uncle Tetsu, Koi Dessert Bar, Kirsten Tibballs and Petal Met Sugar.
“Sweet Street is celebrating its fifth year in a row and I love that this epic event brings my friends together for a vibrant night of wicked desserts, where our guests can meet our incredibly talented sweet creators,” says Polyviou of what guests can expect.
Tickets to Sweet Street are priced at $85 per person and include eight tokens to redeem at any stall. Children’s tickets are $45 each and include four tokens. There are also VIP tickets available for $135, which include early entry and a signed copy of Polyviou’s new Sweet Street cookbook. All tickets can be purchased online.
