If you love a good burger, this is the festival for you. Burgapalooza is bringing some of the best burgers in Sydney to the west this month.

Some of the best burgers in Sydney are heading west for one weekend.

Burgapalooza will roll into Prince Alfred Square in Parramatta on September 22 and 23, bringing the best in the business to the bustling foodie hub.

Burger masters from across Sydney will bring their epic creations to Parramatta for Burgapalooza.

Now in its third year, Burgapalooza’s previous homes have been in the city and Marrickville.

The festival was started by Ben Kagan, who co-owns burger joint Down N’ Out.

Karan said Parramatta was a “good place to set up and we want to stick around”.

Down N' Out are bringing their burgers to Parramatta for the Burgapalooza festival this month.

“I think it’s really accessible for a lot of people and it’s an up and coming area and we want to be part of it,” he said.

Joining the festival this year will be BL Burgers – which has a store in Parramatta – Mister Gee, Burger Head, Superior Burger, Ume Burger, Chef’s Kitchen, Hardstyle Kitchen and Kagan’s own Down N’ Out.

“We hand select all the best Sydney burger restaurants,” Kagan said.

Burgapalooza is a chance for the grill masters to flex their creative muscle, with each vendor creating an original burger especially for the two-day event.

Beer and burgers go hand in hand at Burgapalooza.

Last year’s creations included a tequila and agave bacon jam burger from BL Burgers, a beef and bone marrow patty with porcini bacon butter from Down N’ Out, and a fermented pork jowl nduja concoction from Superior Burger.

Vegetarian options will also available from many of the vendors.

To wash it all down, a variety of craft beers, cocktails and soft drinks will be on offer from Mountain Goat Brewery, Buffalo Trace, Fireball Whisky and Jarritos.

Along with the food, the festival includes plenty of entertainment from live music to art and stand-up comedy.

Superior Burger will roll into Parramatta for the Burgapalooza festival in September.

Those who dare can brave the Tabasco chilli eating competition, while on the opposite end of the spectrum Menulog will host a chill-out zone.

Tickets are available for lunch and dinner sessions and can be purchased online.
