There’s a cob loaf festival coming to NSW

Holy dip!

Fans of the cob loaf are a dime a dozen in Australia, so it makes complete sense that a festival based around the party favourite is making its way to New South Wales.

The town of Wellington will play host to the Cob Loaf Festival, which lands on November 22. It’s a chance for locals and visitors alike to showcase their best recipes for the dish – whether you prefer a soup mix combination, or something completely homemade. At the end of the day there will be a deemed winner (crowned World Champion) of the cob loaf, with judging conducted under ‘International Cob Loaf Judging Laws’.

Naturally, it’s not just cob loaf that will be available to enjoy, though we expect there will be plenty present. It’s all apart of a larger event of Cameron Park on the Bell River Festival, which involves a paddling expedition called WomDomNom, and a larger showcase of local produce, food and entertainment.

Personally, when it comes to a cob loaf you can’t go past this barramundi cob recipe.
