When it comes to quality Indian food with a modern twist, Melbourne’s Tonka has always been a mainstay. And now, thanks to a new pick-up offering, you can enjoy it all from home.

Tonka’s menu is short and sweet, but there’s more than enough to keep your tastebuds delighted. Along with new easy pick-up options, the team are keeping our fridges and freezers full too, with chilled mains and neat vacuum-sealed curries to reheat on a lazy Friday night.
The classics are all there, from creamy butter chicken with raita ($25), to delicate lamb curry ($29). Beyond that, chicken tikka thigh pieces ($16) and house-made potato samosas with raita ($22) make for perfect quick bites, and the tandoori-marinated Huon salmon fillet ($22) is the ultimate easy weeknight meal.
Tonka’s sides are the goods, too, with a jumbo raita to dip into ($3), uncooked basmati rice to store for a rainy day ($3), crispy roti ($3) and a freezer-friendly yellow dahl ($14). The dessert dish is equally moreish – eat golden sticky date pudding ($10) by the spoonful.
Pick-up is available Tuesday to Saturday, with no minimum spend required. It’s best to order directly with the restaurant by phone, or via their website.
