A vegan deli has opened its doors in Surry Hills.
While veganism isn’t rare these days, those who choose to eschew the animal-product life still find themselves missing out on some of its tastiest offerings. Namely meat and cheese that is.
But that is all set to change with the addition of Shift Eatery into the Sydney cafe scene. The 100 percent vegan deli delivers both an all-day menu and plenty of products to purchase from its shelves in-store.
The Surry Hills venture appeals to both vegans and non-vegans alike with its meat-free takes on deli favourites. But instead of the traditional, it turns to soy-based meats to create dishes like pulled pork, and a reuben sandwich. There is a myriad nut milks to purchase, as well as vegan cheese, and vegan desserts that range from doughnuts through tarts and come courtesy of Treat Dreams and Houghnuts. Coffee (which is of course on hand) is provided by Byron Bay’s Marvel St Roasters.
