Veuve Clicquot sets up shop on Bondi Beach

Veuve Clicquot

Fancy some bubbles beachside?

Australians are just as passionate about drinking as they are spending their time by the ocean, so it makes complete sense to merge our national pastimes. Such as in the case of Veuve Clicquot and North Bondi Fish who have joined forces for special summer collaboration the Clicquot Beach Hut.

The food and the Champagne is expected to flow at the beachside venue from November 27 to January 26. As a part of the summer special, Clicquot Hour will sweep the restaurant every weekday between 5.00-7.00pm. $30 will see you handed a flute of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label or Rose, and an accompanying bar snack. The menu itself has been concocted by head chef Zac Sykes, with the small bites including the likes of mini whiting tacos, beef tatami, soft shell crab sliders and miso eggplant.

It being Bondi, there is a fitness element to the summer soiree. Fitspo guru Leah Simmons will be hosting three 60-minute pilates sessions on the Saturday morning of December 2, 9 and 16 for $125 per person (all inclusive). If the workout itself wasn’t enough to tempt you, then the two hour free flowing Veuve brunch (also designed by Zac Sykes) following might just be. There guests will be able to mix their own Clicquot ice cocktail with refreshing additions that include grapefruit, cucumber or pineapple. Dishes to accompany will include fresh fruit platters, granola pots, cured salmon corn fritters, baby kale salad. And (to top it all off) a chocolate mousse and upside down cake.

Of course it’s not a beach club without a deck chair or two. The ocean essentials will come courtesy of the Champagne house who will deck out the venue with surfboards, towels and deck chairs in the brand’s iconic orange.

Bookings can be made for the Clicquot Beach Hut online
