The Alice-in-Wonderland tea party theme may be a little twee, but don’t expect passionfruit martinis and the stock-standard “lady cocktails” on the menu.

While the Alice Be Curious (Hendricks, Lillet Blanc and berry tea, served in a tea pot) comes with a cucumber finger sandwich, the Mad Hatter takes things up a notch, stirring Appleton Estate 12yr rum, Bulleit bourbon and Hennessey VS cognac with cream and egg, and a side of cognac-soaked flaming black cherries.

If you’d prefer a more substantial side, the changing dessert line up may include a blood plum soufflé with java pepper ice-cream and dark chocolate sorbet, or an affogatto with chocolate-coated Frangelico jelly.

For the non-sweet tooths, you can also order charcuterie, fries and a handful of bar-snacks.
