Located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, Rosetta Sydney opened its door this Tuesday revealing Rockpool Dining Group’s highly anticipated iteration of the Melbourne institution. Housed in the Harry Seidler designed Grosvenor Place, the restaurant brings a to Sydney a menu that focuses on seafood, setting it apart from its Melbourne counterpart. With interiors and styling by Melissa Collison, the space also features extensive natural lighting with a curved wall of floor-to-roof windows, drawing on a colour palette inspired by the Amalfi Coast – need we say more? For those wanting to soak in the Sydney sun, there’s even an outdoor terrace that’s perfect for enjoying an afternoon of rosé come summer.

Featuring plenty of natural light, the main dining room accommodates up to 90 diners overlooking a large open kitchen.

Melissa Collison drew on the Amalfi Coast as inspiration for the restaurant’s colour palette, using a mix of emerald green and sapphire blue interspersed with black and white Italian coastal images on the walls.

The menu focuses on seafood showcasing produce from sustainable producers and diners can watch the theatrics of the busy kitchen from their table.

The main ground floor dining room opens to an internal bar that caters up to 28 guests. Here, bellinis are the drink du jour and the bar menu focuses on playful aperitivo cocktails including a cold drop cafe Americano.

From the bar, stairs lead to a moody mezzanine dining space for 50 diners.

The outdoor terrace overlooks the bustling George Street cityscape, catering up to 60 guests making it perfect for extending that long lunch into an afternoon drinking session.
