Now the lifestyle-focused district’s existing offerings are set to double with the plans of its major development revealed, including the addition of James St Commons. Sitting at number 1 James St, the new development has been designed to slot in rather quietly alongside existing residents. Applications for 11 high end tenants are currently being welcomed, with the commercial real estate in charge encouraging businesses with a focus on “quality, creativity, authenticity, consistency and most importantly atmosphere” from all applicants. Thea self-proclaimed ‘retail living space’ has been designed by local architects Myers Ellyett and hosts a central green theme, with an impressive number of green spaces, and shared community areas.
