The Fratelli Fresh empire is booming with the Italian chain unveiling a flagship in Darling Harbour that is nothing short of monstrous. The casual diner will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options from its new home – a 550-seater that sits just below the International Convention Centre Sydney Theatre. The new dining emporium will open its doors for the first time at 7am on Friday May 25. The space itself is 1100 square metres, equipped with 30-metre high ceilings and a serious of different dining spaces, live cooking stations, and bars. There’s also a 100-seat beer and wine garden out back. Rockpool Dining Group Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pash said Fratelli’s first food and dining emporium offered something for everyone, no matter the time of day.“We’ve designed it to be a very interactive and immersive space, with menus that cover every meal of the day, accommodate theatre-goers in the ICC, customers looking to grab and go, and those who wish to enjoy a picnic nearby,” says Path. “There is a fantastic calendar of workshops, classes and tastings led by Fratelli chefs and our premium partners, who bring some exclusive offerings to our first emporium.” The menu will contain all the dishes for which Fratelli Fresh has become famous. There’s Neapolitan pizza, pasta, gelato and rotisserie-roasted meats confirmed, Mecca coffee, and baked goods from Sonoma bakery. There will also be a dessert bar and cioccolateria in the mix where Italian treats will be in ample supply (think gelato, tiramisu and cannoli) all created by Italian head pasty chef Riccardo Falcone. Australia’s first Campari Bar will offer an impressive line-up of cocktails to wash down your feast, with seven different spritzes and six negronis available on tap. Outside of its food and drink choice, Fratelli Fresh will be home to an adult-skewed games corner, including ping pong, jenga, shuffleboard and foosball.
