Darren Robertson welcomes his latest restaurant Rocker

North Bondi's new all-day addition is set to open its doors this weekend.

Bondi’s reputation for being laid-back has now extended past its population to its food scene. At least that’s in the case of its most recent restaurant addition Rocker. The creation of a collaboration between Three Blue Ducks’ Darren Robertson and Cameron Northway of Sweet & Chilli, the all-day eating space has a focus on casual (though no less delicious) dining.

It’s an all-day affair at the eatery, with coffee and pastries (courtesy of Brasserie and Messy Spoon) served daily from 7am. That’s accompanied by a petite breakfast spread that includes a decadent bircher muesli as well as hangover favourite the bacon sandwich, slathered in homemade HP sauce.

Later on in the day is when the focus turns truly coastal. From midday Wednesday to Friday and 10am on weekends, there’s a bevy of quality lunch and dinner offerings, as well as (of course) an impressive beverage collection designed by sommelier Chris Morrison.

Rocker remains straight to the point when it comes to explaining its seaside-inspired menu. Guests can expect: “Oysters, clams, cured meats, a bit of pasta, natural wines, all our favourite things.” House-made fresh pasta mingles with creative takes on seafood that range from whole fish to school prawns paired with succulents.

While the cafe has already opened its doors, the restaurant component will begin business on Friday, June 9. To make sure you don’t miss out you can make a reservation now.
