Heston Blumenthal welcomes a new restaurant

But you'll never guess in which city.

The Dinner by Heston Blumenthal brand is blooming, with the third outpost for the restaurant having just been announced. But forget America, the long-believed next step in the burgeoning Blumenthal empire. The celebrity chef has instead set his sights on Dubai.

The innovative eatery from one of the world’s most beloved chefs first made its debut in London in 2011, set up by Blumenthal and right-hand man Ashley Palmer-Watts. Following a successful pop-up stint of the Fat Duck in Australia, Melbourne then became the second location for the brand, which opened in 2015.

But now the UAE is next in line, with Palmer-Watts and Blumenthal planning to debut Dinner by Heston Blumenthal Dubai inside the Royal Atlantis Resort in 2019. The venue itself will feature a sleek bar space, a private dining room, and two outdoor terraces for guests to enjoy the surrounding view.

“The backdrop is outstanding and the views of the Dubai skyline over the Persian Gulf are quite unique,” says Blumenthal. But alongside this jaw-dropping view will be an equally impressive menu, overflowing with the dishes for which Blumenthal is known, the iconic Meat Fruit dish included.

Blumenthal is the latest in a long line of famous chefs setting up shop in Dubai (Marco Pierre White included), proving that the city is fast becoming a foodie destination. UAE, here we come…
