Tell everyone.
Surprises don’t get much better than learning that one of the city’s best burger joints has launched a new venue and it’s already open. As in, you can literally tell your boss you feel sick and head there right now.
The new burger base will flip out all the favourites, including Mary’s burgers, fried chicken and mash with gravy, as well as some vegan offerings from its Circular Quay branch.
You’ll also be able to make it into a meal with a can of craft ale or spicy margarita, with an onsite bar shaking up rum-based cocktails, alongside a selection of beers and wines.
“We are very fucking excited to announce the birth of our newest baby,” Mary’s co-owner Jake Smyth said in a statement. “Mary’s Pitt Street is the rough and tough little sister to bookend our two other CBD joints – slotted right into the Surry Hills border of the city, where it still feels like our city has a seedy pulse.
“Pitt Street looks, feels and tastes like Mary’s, but one that may have taken some advice from two old fuckers that used to be young fuckers. Padded seats, strong rum cocktails, and enough blues and rock’n’roll to get the chandeliers swinging.”
No more hanging around at the door, glaring at diners either. For the first time, Mary’s Pitt Street will allow guests to book tables, starting from groups of 8 all the way up to epic burger bashes of 60.
The new venue marks the fifth for the group, with outposts currently in Circular Quay, Newtown and the city.
