Nobu number 43 will land at Crown Sydney this December.
Nobu Matsuhisa’s acclaimed Japanese Peruvian restaurant Nobu is set to be the jewel in the crown of Sydney’s new controversial casino development, Crown Sydney at Barangaroo.
The Nobu empire is owned by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, film producer Meir Teper and Crown Resorts, and includes 42 restaurants and 10 hotels around the world including two in Australia (Perth and Melbourne).

The restaurant franchise was built on the strength of its signature dishes, which will also be making their way onto the menu in Sydney. The most famous being Nobu’s raw yellowtail in ponzu with jalapeños and a miso-glazed black cod, both of which were dreamed up in the 80s. The rest of the menu will be newly created to reflect the location and local influences.
Nobu Matsuhisa said: “At Nobu, inventive cuisine and unparalleled service are at the heart of everything we do. This will be no different at our Sydney restaurant. It is always about our customers and creating something innovative with passion.”
Nobu will launch at Crown Sydney this December, alongside a new restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Clare Smyth, and 12 soon-to-be-announced restaurants and bars.
