Quay reveals its refurbishment plans

The iconic venue let slip major details about its future.

Considering that Quay is regarded as one of Australia’s best restaurants, it came as no surprise that the news of its closure (albeit a temporary one) caused a ruckus.

Now more details have emerged as to what exactly Fink Group will be doing with the harbourside space. First and foremost, chef Peter Gilmore has revealed a new menu format for diners. A ten-course tasting menu (for $275 per person) will be integrated that will guide diners through the restaurant’s new dishes on Friday and Saturday evenings. There will also be a six-course menu with a choice of main (for $210 per person), which will be available Sunday to Thursday for dinner, and Friday to Sunday for lunch.

The restaurant is already taking online reservations for dates between August through December 2018. While the restaurant has confirmed plans to reopen mid-July, the exact date is not as yet set in stone, meaning diners will have to wait a little longer before being able to book for opening week.
