Where it's your birthday every day of the year.

Whether you’re dropping by for an after-work drink or lunchtime snack, every occasion is a celebration at Brisbane’s glittery new venue, The Tinsel Bar.

Created by restaurateur Maris Cook (Maeve Wine, Hello Please) with designer and tinsel artist, Rachel Burke, the new venue takes its inspiration from retro kids parties, like the pages of the Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake Cookbook brought to life.

The adult’s playground sees metallic streamers adorned from ceilings and walls paired with a cotton candy paint job and cutesy neon signs. Feel inspired by all that sparkle? There’s also coloured pencils on the table if you want to have a draw.

The menu covers off on all the birthday favourites, from fairy bread to party pies with hot chippies and Bolognese toasties. And just to prove that it really is for grown-ups, they also do an alcoholic Cottees Cordial cooler and boozy Bambi’s milkshake spiked with schnapps.

During the day, the fabulousness continues with The Tinsel Deli, where you can get the party started with salads, sandwiches and a few sneaky pre-drinks.
