This all-day Bondi cafe, restaurant and bar from Three Blue Ducks co-founder Darren Robertson does a share-style, mod-Australian menu for its bottomless brunch. Food spans butternut pumpkin hummus with smoked chilli oil and spice dukkah, dry-aged sirloin with horseradish, a shaved fennel, celery and herb salad and shoestring fries with malt vinegar. Drink all the mimosas, sparkling, red, white and rosé you fancy for 90 minutes for $85 from Thursday to Saturday. The seven-dish banquet for Tommy’s $99 bottomless brunch is a collection of greatest hits from this popular eatery that does away with the Mexican cliches in favour of authenticity and quality. Spice-dusted corn chips sidle up to chipotle mayo chicken wings and guacamole that’s creamy and balanced by welcome hits of lime and heat. Kipfler potatoes are nutty in their fried, bravas-style state, tuna ceviche is done with a delicate avocado mousse, and there’s a selection of tacos and homemade churros with dulce de leche and chocolate dipping sauce for dessert. There’s the likes of ocean trout sashimi, a prawn bisque, organic poached eggs with vegetable tempura, lamb cutlets, and strawberry cheesecake for dessert.
