As previously mentioned, The Newport only recently unveiled the second phase of its refurbishment in the form of restaurant Bert’s. The suave new addition is a pastel-hued wonderland that takes inspiration from the grand hotel dining rooms of the 1930s and is decorated just as opulently. The bar and brasserie boasts interiors that are as sleek as its luxe coastal menu on offer, which comes courtesy of executive chef Jordan Toft and head chef Sam Kane. Those with a thirst, need not fear for tipple options are also plentiful and follow the same mantra of the fare of ‘simple bar elegant’. If you dream of Riviera vibes from the convenience of the north shore, then we’ve found your new favourite venue.
