The old Super White Drycleaners on Leigh Street has started a new cycle as a natural wine bar. Suit up for a night of minimal intervention wines and sophisticated bar snacks by owner and ex-Heston Blumenthal chef, Nathan Sasi.

The former laundromat has been given a fresh new start by interior designers, Studio-Grams, who have replaced the square white tiling with terrazzo floors and exposed acoustic wall panelling. Striking features include the arched ceiling and 430 strong wine wall that runs the length of the room.

Those looking for a cheeky chardy can hop up at the bar and pick out a bottle straight from the wall. There are also canary yellow banquettes by the window and larger tables at the back for those looking for the complete wine and dine experience.

An elevated snack menu by owner Nathan Sasi and offsider Blake Drinkwater focuses on finger-friendly snacks and share plates. Expect masterpieces in miniature, from pig’s head fritti with Zuni-style pickles to hand-formed boules of sheeps milk gnudi and fresh buffalo curd with hunks of honeycomb.

Meats are butchered in-house to create the pretty pink rounds and ribbons which make up the charcuterie selection. The offerings include chorizo, mortadella, pork and fennel salami, wagyu bresaola and more. Nathan also makes his own buffalo curd and bakes his own focaccia.

The wine bar specialises in natural and minimal intervention drops, with a preference for South Australian producers. The 430 strong list also includes offerings from further afield, including France, Italy, Spain and beyond.
