TikTok thrifters, take note.
Calling all cottagecore fans! After kitschy homeware company Lenox announced a new release of those viral spice village jars, we’ll finally have a fitting home for our adorable little containers. Coming in Autumn 2025, the Village Spice rack.
The set of 24 jars (and their accompanying spice rack) was first introduced in 1989 before being discontinued in 1993 and has since become a cult collector’s item. The Spice Village then emerged as the hottest item for thrifters back in 2022 when TikTok creator @paintedsage found a complete set in a Goodwill. Her find coincided with the moment that TikTok fell in love with cottagecore, an aesthetic that adopts a simple, handmade, Beatrix-Potter-inspired vibe.
What could be more cottagecore than an entire ceramic village to store your bay leaves in?
