Less time cooking, more time eating. It's a win-win.

It’s not Santa bringing you the ultimate gift this Christmas, it’s QT Hotels & Resorts. The hotel disruptor is taking the hard work out of Christmas lunch this year with finish-at-home festive feasts designed by its in-house chefs, available from QT’s Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Perth and Canberra locations.

The feasts cater generously for up to six people and include all the dishes that make an Australian Christmas really special. At each location, the packs include local specialties and holiday classics, with starters and salads of artisan sourdough, local salumi, chickpea hummus with pomegranate and dukkha, prawns with Marie Rose sauce, oysters, and smoked salmon with creme fraiche.

For mains, there’s rolled turkey roast (with cranberry and gravy, of course) and honey glazed ham. It wouldn’t be Christmas without the trimmings, and here it’s crisp, roasted potatoes with sour cream and rosemary; and sweet root veggies prepared with thyme and sweet-sour saba dressing.

Add-ons of dry-aged roast duck, porchetta with crackling, steamed lobsters and beef sirloin are available if you want to go all the way over the top.

And of course, there’s dessert. Traditional Christmas pudding is served with brandy custard and sour cherries. Towering trifle is layers of berries, sponge, jelly, custard and cream. And spiced fruit mince pies are freshened up with the new season’s cherries.

If you want to be a bit more involved in the Christmas cooking – QT has you covered. The main courses and desserts, with customisable add-ons including drinks, can be ordered separately – if you really want to show off your turkey roasting skills or have a killer seafood starter to show off. Or, just take the credit for the whole lunch: we won’t snitch.

QT’s Christmas feasts start from $650, with starter packs from $275 and mains from $300. Head to the QT website for more details and to order.
