Confectionery kings Golden Gaytime and Krispy Kreme have joined forces to create two new hybrid sweet treats this summer, but are they greater than the sum of their parts?

The first of the creations is a Krispy Kreme-flavoured Golden Gaytime ice cream. The iconic ice cream has been revamped to include an original glazed-inspired ice cream and a fancy new coat of doughnut crumb.

No prizes for guessing the second offering – a Golden Gaytime-flavoured Krispy Kreme doughnut. Each doughnut is pumped with a dual filling of Golden Gaytime toffee and vanilla crème, then dipped in chocolate and sprinkled in honeycomb cookie crumbs.

Both items are available from 7 Eleven stores nationwide for a limited time only. The ice cream is priced at $4.50 and the doughnut $3.50, or if you can’t choose between them, it’s $6.50 for both.
