Now this is something worth getting in a flap about.
There’s no denying it. Wings are in right now. Just stroll by the newly opened Wingstop in Sydney’s Potts Point and check out the queues that are still snaking down the street, several weeks after opening.
Now Macca’s is flying into the party, launching Chicken McWings on its permanent menu from tomorrow.

After trialling the offering at various restaurant locations across Australia, these 100 percent Australian RSPCA Approved chicken wings wrapped in a golden, crispy coating are now available at McDonald’s restaurants and online everywhere.
Available in 3-piece or 5-piece boxes, the wings are available with two dipping sauces – cool and creamy ranch or spicy buffalo sauce.

“It’s been a while since we have added something new to the permanent menu, but the response to Chicken McWings during the trial made it clear: Aussies want more chicken options with their order,” says Amanda Nakad, marketing director of menu and brand for McDonald’s Australia.
“Chicken McWings are now claiming their spot next to other legends like the McChicken, McSpicy, McCrispy and Chicken McNuggets. It’s the golden era of chicken at Macca’s – and we’re just getting started.”
3-piece Chicken McWings with one sauce or 5-piece Chicken McWings with two sauces will be available on the permanent menu either on their own or in a meal via drive thru, kiosk, front counter and the MyMacca’s app from Wednesday, June 11.
