You've got four hours to eat your body weight in cheese.
Imagine a cheeseboard stocked with 75 different kinds of cheese – that’s what awaits you at Mould, a two-day cheese festival coming to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hobart this year.
The festival pays homage to fromage with a stinky selection of 75+ cheeses, from oozy blues to bloomy bries, sharp cheddars and silky quarks, handmade by some the country’s best cheesemakers.
You’re bound to recognise some of the wedges and wheels on offer, with award-winning dairies like Bruny Island Cheese Co, Grandvewe, Milawa Cheese, Yarra Valley Dairy, The Pines, Vannella, Nimbin Valley Cheese set to make an appearance. Even the keenest turophile will encounter something new, with limited edition offerings like activated charcoal cheese, black garlic brie and rosé, cider and pinot noir washed rinds up for tasting.
Rachel Stewart, of Revel and Mould Cheese Collective, says: “There is nothing more exciting than the variety of cheese we have on offer this year – the types, regions, different milks – we have it all. I’m so excited for punters to experience the passion behind the product and hear it straight from the small producers who are the heartbeat of the industry… Plus have a bloody fun time while doing so!”

Naturally, there will be a bar on site for cheese and wine pairing. Alongside the vinos, you will also be able to order Hartshorn Sheep Whey Vodka and Gin from Tassie, as well as beers, ciders and cocktails.
If you’re craving something a little more substantial than stilton, there will also be food stalls selling snacks like olives and smallgoods as well as tasty queso-inspired creations.
Best of all, the festival will be token-free with unlimited cheese tastings included in the ticket price ($45). If you get in early that means four hours of straight cheese feasting.
