It’s only five years old, but Farm Gate Market has become a go-to for locals and out-of-towners. Each Sunday, you’ll find Ross O’Meara spruiking his Bruny Island Food Berkshire pork sausages and seasonal Tassie produce spanning asparagus, raspberries and local potatoes. A bustling marketplace by day and, come summer, a humming street food and live music space by night, the open-air Queen Vic has been operating since 1878. Jammed with food and wine stalls, donut vans and ‘designer’ clothing, it’s Australia’s closest reincarnation of London’s Borough Market.
