In the world of sweets, Allen’s Lollies are a big deal. The company is behind the red frogs, the pineapples, and the strawberries and cream that sweet tooths have been unable to avoid for some time now.

But it’s time for a new addition to the sweet mammoth, and they want you to create it. Allen’s have just launched its 2018 lolly vote – a chance for the general public to select the next treat in their line of lollies. There are three new ‘fruit & cream’ flavours to choose from – Apple & Cream, Blackberry & Cream, and the exotic Yuzu & Cream.

Fans nationwide will be able to vote online for their lolly of choice. The new flavour will sit alongside longtime favourites Strawberries & Cream and Peaches & Cream, in an all-new Fruits & Cream Mix, but you best act quick as there is only a single week to cast your vote. Voting opened on January 15 and closes at 1pm on January 22. The winning treat will be announced on Allen’s Facebook page the next day, with the new addition hitting stores in mid-February.

Allowing fans to decide on the brand’s next flavour is important to Allen’s says Nestlé General Manager Confectionery Martin Brown. “We know that our fans are extremely passionate about being involved in the lollies we create, so again, we’re calling on them to have their say and vote for the Allen’s Fruit & Cream of the Crop,” he says. “We have spent months perfecting the potential new flavours of Apple & Cream, Blackberry & Cream and Yuzu & Cream, ensuring that each has just the right balance of a juicy dollop of fruit flavour on top of a creamy vanilla base.”
