If this year’s Christmas present happens to have contained a big ol’ sparkling rock, this new Bali resort might be the answer to your next question: ‘but where?’

In February 2019, an all-new five-star hotel, The Apurva Kempinski, will open on a pristine, tranquil waterfront patch of land in Bali – on the beaches of Nusa Dua in Southern Bali, to be precise.

Though there are a host of resorts and venues popping up in Bali each year, this one’s offering something different: a glass-front chapel right on the water – a spot set to become popular among those planning destination weddings.

At the resort, there are 475 guest rooms, suites and villas, alongside five restaurants and a lounge. An ocean-facing spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, kids’ pool and family club will also appear on site.

Couples tying the knot can also reserve the spacious grand ballroom with ocean views. There’s also a waterfront lawn area for outdoor receptions. No pressure, newly engaged folk, but we think this chapel will book out with haste.
