Prepare your cheese boards – the country’s finest dairy and cheese products have been announced following the 2018 Australian Grand Dairy Awards.

As the nation’s most prestigious dairy accolade, the awards celebrate the best of Australia’s dairy connoisseurs, and recognises quality, innovation and excellence in all areas of the production process.

Affirming that Australia has some of the best dairy produce worldwide, 24 judges tested more than 400 Australian dairy products to find the top 18 champions, which you should promptly add to you shopping list.

If you’re looking for a white mould cheese, then King Island Dairy Discovery Ash Brie should be on the top of your list, or if your tastes lie a little more on the blue side, Berrys Creek Tarwin Blue is for you.

These alarmingly addictive soft cheeses aren’t the only champions here, though. Bega Heritage Reserve Vintage Cheddar is the reigning Australian cheddar option, and Mil Lel Superior Parmesan is the hard cheese that should top your pasta dishes forevermore.

Once you’ve finished sampling each and every cheese on this list of champions, you’ll want to try some of the other winners, too. Gundowring Licorice Ice Cream reigned supreme in the ice cream category, and Pure Gelato Salted Pistachio gained the dairy gelato accolade. We’d suggest a scoop of each.
